How We’re Changing Networking Events in NYC

Early in our careers, we noticed something missing from NYC’s networking scene.

Too many events felt hastily put together, overly transactional, and forgettable. People walked into rooms unsure of who to talk to, while hosts focused more on selling than creating genuine connections.

That’s why we’re building a true Third Place in NYC — a welcoming space beyond work and home where people can step outside their usual circles, meet new people, and turn conversations into opportunities.

Since launching in March 2025, WAGMI-Connect has brought together more than 5,000 New Yorkers, creating connections that have led to jobs, clients, investments, partnerships, friendships, and new ideas.

And we’re just getting started.

How We Create The Third Place

Hands on Hosting

We don’t just plan networking, we’re right there in the mix.

Our hosts guide the flow, introduce people with shared interests, and keep the energy up so you’re never stuck wondering who to talk to.

Our setups are intentional: welcoming layouts, name tags /conversation starters, and dedicated spaces for intimate chats.

Substance Over Small Talk

We design every gathering around themes and prompts that actually matter, sparking authentic conversations about work, ideas, and passions.

Just real people connecting over topics they care about at networking events that feel fresh and meaningful.

Whether you’re new to networking or a seasoned connector, you’ll leave with meaningful contacts and a sense of belonging.
